Team NZ wins Bronze at 2010 World Champs
25 April 2010
Team New Zealand have won Bronze for the second year in a row at the ICU World Championships in Orlando, Florida. Congratulation to the team, and Natasha in particular... just 12 days earlier she had her appendix removed surgically and was still determined to compete at a world class level - an inspiration to all of us!

Team NZ Bronze at 2009 World Championships
27 April 09
As reported in the New Zealand Herald, the team of New Zealand cheerleaders has taken Bronze at the inaugural ICU World Championship!
What a fantastic achievement this is, given the size and quality of the competing teams.
The teams also had success at the Jamfest competition, with the Viperz and ICU teams winning their divisions and the Stormz team placing second. Viperz were also named 'Most Spirited' team, and Stormz were 'Most Entertaining' team. Well done teams - the whole of New Zealand is very proud of you.

We left Auckland with huge excitement and lots of photos being taken, a few tears of farewell and a sense of responsibility for what we represent: New Zealand
About Me
My name is Tash (my friends call me Nashy!) and I'm a cheerleader! I am a student at Rangitoto College in Auckland, New Zealand, and my team, the Viperz, is a part of Allstar Cheerleaders based in North Shore City, Auckland.
I am one of the flyers in my team, which means I spend lots of time being thrown into the air by my bases… not many people realise how demanding this sport is, or how dangerous… cheerleading is one of the world's fastest growing sports and has a very high injury rate!
As part of our trip to the World Champs, we had to raise funds to pay for the trip - NZ$6000 (US$3500) each had to be raised… when you live at the bottom end of the world, it's expensive to get anywhere! Each team member paid their own costs and contributed to a combined fund through money raised by team displays and shows, plus other means.
I am looking for people from all over the world who have an interest in cheerleading or are inclined to help, by donating just one dollar to assist me in my efforts, as I am still paying off a loan taken to pay the final $1000 for the trip. Of course, if you would like to help with more than a dollar, I would be delighted and very grateful, but just one dollar from enough people will get me there in the end.
Please click the Paypal button to donate a dollar, or more if you wish. It would also help if you visited my advertisers too...! Every time you use the ads on this page I earn a little...

About Cheerleading
Today's cheerleading is a serious sport that takes a high degree of focus, strength and dedication. The intricate choreography, precision tumbling and amazing aerial stunts are often jaw-dropping.…
Fundraising Target
I needed to raise $6000 to pay for my flights, accomodation, meals, activities, competition entry fees and insurance… and am still paying off the $1000 loan I needed to pay for my trip.
Thank You to Orthoticsport in Auckland for their generous sponsorship. Ashley has treated me for various injuries over time and kindly sponsored my first trip to the States...
